God of Miracle

Every good thing can be perverted.  Desire to please God can lead to legalism.  Freedom in grace can lead to anti-nomianism.

And the growing focus on finding the sacred in the secular, God in the ordinary, God’s work in my vocation as a husband, father & lawyer?  It made me slow to expect the miraculous, I realized.

And that is not to be.  Surely God is present in the ordinary.  But just as surely, God is able to work extra-ordinarily — i.e., miraculously, spectacularly, and supernaturally.

Fitting for this Maundy Thursday as we remember the empty tomb of Jesus.
